What's Buzz-worthy: This one fresh off the truck today is another of those brands that are late-arriving and likely one-and-done scenarios for me personally -- I just can't rip it all and I'm more picky now than ever -- but I know a lot of you are fans ... so here we are. This one wants me to want more of it as the first couple packs alone delivered some good names with school ties for me -- Joe Willie Namath and Amari Cooper on a parallel -- and they were joined by some others I don't mind finding in packs and then some good names on color. This one also included one without some color -- a rookie variation card of a guy I found on another parallel and a guy who might have some decent potential going forward after a respectable rookie season that included seven TDs in 12 games. Overall, this one felt cleaner than other Prizm/Optic releases I have seen lately -- better centering but still some spots here and there but closer to normal -- and that helped, too, since this one has a slightly higher SRP than others out there. (Nothing worse than paying more and having the quality control be iffy.) Prizm is a big set 300 cards and the 100 rookies atop that, so stars could be lean here and there making smaller boxes like this run cold easily. If you get a run of base stars these are a bargain but if you miss then it can sting. Will I do more? Maybe ... but I'm not chasing and I know there still will be shelf-clearers. The big potential is there -- but rip hobby boxes if you can swing it for more stuff and guarantees.

Product Grade: B+ (rookie crop just isn't as good this year)
Box Grade: A- (rookie variation atop good names on parallels but could have easily been a B+ box ... I flipped a coin)
Fun Grade: B- (thinking Prizm needs an injection of variety or other stuff to make it flashier beyond just parallels)
