What's Buzz-worthy: Buzz found some of these in the bargain bin and opted to bite ... and this one paid off pretty well on the Rookie Card front with some other highlights, too. These originally dropped at $15.98 but are down around $9 now, which is still high but makes the misses more palatable ... though even a good pack in some cases could perhaps be had as singles cheaper. This time? The RCs and the Bret Hart saved things but the rookies here are a decent crop and the Flair and Goldberg appearances aren't bad at a discounted price. ... Like the blasters, it's not that flashy of a per-pack mix to start with. This format adds the Red White & Blue parallels to help it a lot but I don't think it's enough at the original price as base cards are still super-plentiful and cheap as singles more times than not. Silvers and Greens are also a highlight here if you get one -- they're not guaranteed -- on a key name though the big set makes that harder. ... This one is a landmark release in that it's the debut of Rookie Cards for almost all of the NXT 2.0 stars (a small number snuck into a couple sets last year) and a number of NXT UK performers who didn't have cards, either, beyond it being a Panini first. Becuase of this, the RC volume is abnormally high as they are all in the base set. Previous releases used "First NXT card" labels and then RC logos once stars arrived on Raw or Smackdown or had those NXT debuts in insert sets. ... This one was a huge set upon arrival and it still is ... and I think all of it is worth the look at the reduced price now. Retail formats are not all that generous with the set size but I like a lot of what is in this one. I gave a hobby box a thought for #BuzzMania6 next month but didn't. There will be plenty beyond that, though. Be there.

Product Grade: A- (a lot of off-centered cards and rough cuts in this landmark release -- holds it back from top marks)
Pack Grade: A (solid pack for RCs and a good Silver)
