What's Buzz-worthy: I didn't have a good feel with my early run of these (three boxes) so I figured I'd revisit it and, well, the base cards here were rough (or had damage where names were good) but were bailed out enough by the inserts to keep it from being an average box. My best card, the Reigns Green Gold card, arrived with an entrance ramp warping ... but it should flatten out with the top-loader over time while the top rookie right now, Sikoa, some of the surface funk here that didn't help. Then this one had its typical centering and rough cut issues. Some better, some worse than the norm (fronts and backs). ... As I noted before, this format is just not that dynamic -- it's a basic mix with Silvers and Greens -- and the expectations should be a little less dynamic, too, though strong stuff is possible if luck is on your side. (Rip hobby boxes for the sure shot and plenty of volume.) This one is a landmark release in that it's the debut of Rookie Cards for almost all of the NXT 2.0 stars (a small number snuck into a couple sets last year) and a number of NXT UK performers who didn't have cards, either. Because of this, the RC volume is abnormally high as they are all in the base set. (Previous releases used "First NXT card" labels on inserts and then RC logos once stars arrived on Raw or Smackdown or had those NXT debuts in insert sets.) ... This set has a deep 200-card checklist that's loaded with past, present and future stars so that can mean hot boxes or lean ones, especially with only four cards per pack. (Meanwhile, two hobby packs equal a blaster.)

Product Grade: A- (a lot of off-centered cards and rough cuts for my taste in this landmark release -- holds it back from top marks)
Box Grade: B (rough base, better inserts but some issues on some key cards that hurt appeal/grades)
Fun Grade: B-
