What's Buzz-worthy: I found five of these blasters at a good price, so I bit after a strong first-impression rip of this one and, well, the basic card collation was immensely repetitive to the point where I was mumbling and ready to blow a bit like Mankind by Box 4 before I landed some A-list young-star ink in that one. And then, in this box, the final pack had me pulling a Ron Simmons. (If you know, you know) ... but perhaps Austin's "Oh, helllll, yeahhhh" works, too. How big is this Gold Austin? The only comparable one I saw on eBay (a standard Gold /10, different tier) had a $1,000 BIN price and was sold for $550. A tougher tier Gold (also /10) sold for $1,059. So ... yeah, this blaster was a win. A big win. And there were other cards here that were good in this collector's eyes, too. ... As I noted before, I think Select is what Prizm should have been back when was the debut Panini WWE release -- a high-energy, colorful and well-photographed look at WWE's past, present and even future all in one spot. This one has a deep (but not quite Prizm deep) checklist with a ton of color and challenges if you want to go there. Hobby boxes guarantee two autos and a mem card every time in this one -- along with a boatload of color -- and blasters, well, they don't guarantee anything on that front hits-wise but every basic card is a parallel card in this format. And this box shows they can deliver. Just like my last box, the only drawback here that I can see is that some of the left-right centering issues that were very dramatic in Prizm still present themselves here, though not as often or as bad. (Unfortunately seen on some parallels.) All in all, though, this was still a fun one to rip as the images are strong, the checklist has a good mix of past and present and there's an insert or color in every pack.
