What's Buzz-worthy: I found these tiny boxes at a place where I wouldn't have to wait for international shipping so I bit, despite there being better prices on larger boxes -- megas are 10 packs and a standard box is 24. Why not just do bigger formats? Well, it might not be worth it as the inclusions are just the basics -- base cards and parallels (no other inserts or hits) -- and the packs are not all that protective here with a skinny stock and dark colors being a challenge if you're somebody with an eye on grading like I am. The full lineup? Just 160 cards -- 100 stars, 40 legends and 20 champions. The only chase? Parallels -- Red (six per 24), Green (three per 24) and Gold parallels (one per 24) -- and that's it. If you buy a display box, you're likely guaranteed to find a Gold but the other formats will be hit and miss on guarantees -- as you can see here Green didn't flow at all while Gold came out to play. I knew all that going in here but this turned out to be a bummer when one of the rookies I'd want to land -- and the only rookie in the boxes -- arrived with the typical corner/edge damage here and the a second time with a substantial surface line. And then one of the better Hall of Fame finds (Austin) also had creases inside the pack when other cards around it did not. Bummers. There actually is a lot to like here for the simplicity -- the photos are good, the names are solid (though it's a larger set so you get a lot of lesser current names, too), the Champions subset is strong with sharp images and the parallels being rarer might add sone value if you find key names. (The more this gets ripped, the lower the prices could go, though. Really only Gold is "tough" but they will all dry over time once boxes are gone.) I may try a full-size box one more time if it presents itself on the cheap as that should have better volume to cherry-pick for potential grading, but I'll definitely go singles when I can find them after this experience ... unless I see stuff priced where I can't refuse the rip.
Product Grade: A in its execution ... B- with its materials/packaging (damage) issues
Lot Grade: B- (damaged cards hurt feel here on everything)
Fun Grade: C- (see above)
