What's Buzz-worthy: The chase continues for me here after some déjà vu (again) with these tiny boxes. Once again I landed two Jade RCs with damage issues -- not nearly as bad as last time, thankfully, but not good enough to grade (again) and I didn't lands one of the big names I'm looking for to grab and slab. So what's the deal with this release? It's a simple set for the international market with nothing to chase beyond base cards and then some parallels across a trio of box types. This is the smallest, while megas are 10 packs and a standard box is 24. Why not just do bigger formats? Well, it might not be worth it as the inclusions are just the basics -- base cards and parallels (no other inserts or hits) -- and the packs are not all that protective here with a skinny stock and dark colors being a challenge if you're somebody with an eye on grading like I am. The full lineup? Just 160 cards -- 100 stars, 40 legends and 20 champions. The only chase? Parallels -- Red (six per 24), Green (three per 24) and Gold parallels (one per 24) -- and that's it. If you buy a display box, you're likely guaranteed to find a Gold but the other formats will be hit and miss on guarantees. This time, I actually landed two fewer parallels than my last pairing ... so they aren't set up to regularly flow the same way. It's more hit and miss ... and the physical condition of stuff coming from the packs is more miss than hit. It's quite rough at times. ... There actually is a lot to like here for the simplicity -- the photos are good, the names are solid (though it's a larger set so you get a lot of lesser current names, too), the Champions subset is strong with sharp images and the parallels being rarer might add some value if you find key names. (The more this gets ripped, the lower the prices could go, though. Really only Gold is "tough" but they will all dry over time once boxes are gone.) I may try a full-size box one more time if it presents itself on the cheap as that should have better volume to cherry-pick for potential grading, but that's not a given based on some of my other internationally printed rips for WWE.
Product Grade: A in its execution ... B- with its materials/packaging (damage) issues
Lot Grade: B (still a lot of condition issues ... but not as bad as my last pair of boxes)
Fun Grade: C+ (see above)
