What's Buzz-worthy: It's the season for football and affordable college football boxes have been on my radar recently as the prices seem to be down some and supply seems to be there for some bargain-hunting ... or at least some ripping on the cheap. This box? It delivered what it should with a little more to it as one auto here was a parallel and the metal card was an insert and a parallel atop that, though of a player who didn't pan out in the NFL. The fun part of this box? Everybody here went to the Philadelphia Eagles and two of them are still there. Even funnier? Both of the autos are of Georgia Bulldogs, too. Davis was a first-round pick and is a starter now, while Dean was a third-rounder and still there ... but hurt. The QB is now an assistant at Colorado State after squad time for the Eagles, Cardinals and USFL after being the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year multiple times at Nevada. ... I'll bite on these boxes because they are among the cheapest out there in the retail wild ($14.99) and are almost nothing but hits. That can mean good things if you land a bigger name here. Metal cards have a parallel with textures -- Wave, Crystal, Mojo or Gold Circles -- and then colors. The checklist here for ink is really deep -- see above -- so there are a lot of names you might not know but definitely some you could.
