What's Buzz-worthy: These massive packs have just five fewer inserts than a blaster box and have 20 more cards than a hobby pack ... but this one had only 12 RCs compared to 33 in the blaster. If that holds up across all packs/boxes, then I think those are the true keys on which one to buy ... but that depends on what your wants are. I prefer inserts here -- even if not all that valuable -- as there is a lot of variety and interesting simple (if not throwback) touches ... though I'm not the biggest fan of the base design in this one. But, if you're ripping for rookies then the blasters might be your thing. (If you're not sweating price, just rip hobby for guaranteed stuff ... link up top.) Cost vs. cost, I think the hanger wins, though card damage could be less prevalent in blasters. For more thoughts, check out my other breaks. This one is growing on me now that it can be found in some formats affordably -- those jumbo-pack boxes at the link are tempting for some good volume of stuff.

Product Grade: B+ (not a big fan of the new old design for the base set)
