What's Buzz-worthy: This one is a colorful annual staple of the retail aisle at Target for a few years now and, for the most part, this one is right in line for what collectors should expect. There's a mix of older names along with current and then a deep crop of rookies, too, with two autos per "hobby" box and then blasters to ponder, too. This box included a rare auto parallel -- one in 48 boxes -- and then a couple of parallels that wouldn't pop up in every box. Overall I think there are some strong inserts here -- and the die-cuts help two of the sets really stand out from the rest -- but I think this one was slightly stronger in previous years between the design and the rookie crop. (I think inserts have been strong here more often than not and this year is right there with them.) There are some multi-player autos here -- long odds -- as well as autographed versions of inserts to the lineup might be simpler than some years but I think all that still works. Just like I said last year, the basic design here is colorful and busy -- that's the brand -- but it may be a little simpler than some other releases for this one in the past. I'm not a big fan of it but it's efficient and the overall inclusions don't feel limited in scope.If you can find this format and want to try it, the autos make it the one to rip with the definite safest shot at a safe or big return.
