What's Buzz-worthy: These have hit the bargain bin in the retail wild and I don't mind taking the shot at a lower price here as, as you can see, the rookie volume is way high and there are enough names here that you could do just fine with them found in groups or if you land other, better stuff that is in here at higher odds. The drawback? The back edges are in black and the centering can be a dog here at times so grading (which I like) on those keys isn't a given. Example? My Strider here has junk centering. (I want some of the names here in 9-10 in bulk but I have not ripped enough ... I want to.) Are they big-money RCs right now? Nah, but over time they will have interest later if these players continue to play well as boxes slowly but surely dry up (even with plenty made). ... HHN is one that has such a loaded set that it's perhaps harder to get a whiff but if I liked the 1973 design more, this set might have landed an A+ grade overall. As a collector, this is the kind of release we need to see more of -- a lot to chase -- but without a price that forces one to rip and flip since it's so expensive. It's a better experience with hobby boxes for the price and that price is good right now -- and there's a guaranteed hit and more along with a near-set in every box. I say rip those until they rise up or dry up and then snack on these blasters or the megas later as long as they are reasonably priced.
Product Grade: A
Box Grade: B+ (some solid top rookies here with good volume on that front ... rest is iffy this time)
Fun Grade: B+ (discount bin price helped)
