What's Buzz-worthy: I guess this dud of a box -- not an average one though with it having a Chrome -- balances out the mispacked one I got last time that worked out in my favor. (Good or bad happens both ways). That awfully centered Chrome is one in 54 packs and that stat is about the only thing that saved this one from being a C-grade box. It was rough without key rookies, one fewer SP than normal and, really, not a lot of oomph otherwise other than a pair of cheaper Padres card and two Hall of Famers. ... As I've said before, this one is a fun rip for 1970s Heritage -- can't say that every year -- and HHN is one that has such a loaded set that it's perhaps harder to get a truly bad box on the RC front. ... If I liked the 1973 design more, this brand might have landed an A+ grade overall as this is the kind of release we need to see more of -- a lot to chase -- but without a price that forces one to rip and flip since it's so expensive. It's a better experience with hobby boxes for their price and that sale price is good right now -- and there's a guaranteed hit and more along with a near-set in every box. I say rip those until they rise or dry up and then snack on these blasters or the megas later as long as they are reasonably priced.
Product Grade: A
Box Grade: B- (would be average or worse if it wasn't for that horribly centered Chrome, which is a tougher find)
Fun Grade: C
