What's Buzz-worthy: My first one of these was odd in that it didn't include three short-prints and that's a bummer as that part of the set is where the most star power resides. I got a bad start popping the lid here when I saw that two of the three box-topper cards were the same ... but after that this one was an A+ box. Why? A good name for my one numbered parallel (one in 39 packs) and then a a rarer auto (one in 762 packs ... one in four cases) to go with the typical array of other stuff here. I like multi-player cards and the rundown of prospects there is loaded but the 1973 design isn't the flashiest on that front ... so I like 'em but other years would have done this better. The SPs do include some good names so if you land both in a box that's a win -- and in this case Volpe popped up three times as he's on one of those, has a base card and then I got the parallel. This is among the cheapest hobby boxes out there -- frankly, way more fun to me vs. a pricey box even with a lower ceiling. ... There are a lot of variants and other chases here but the odds are way, way higher here it seems vs. past years based on those odds -- and this is the only pack format for this release. I do like a lot here ... but I think other years from the recent past are perhaps stronger right now and they definitely didn't make as much for this release in some past years. I'll probably do more as the price drops. Just a low-risk rip.

Fun Grade: A- (good box and actually getting my SPs this time -- none last time -- helped here)
