What's Buzz-worthy: What is this? It's a set showing characters found in a trading card game that started back in August 2020 and is still going today with new ownership as of this year. Topps released a number of sets beginning in 2021 to spotlight and give fans of the TCG more to collect with this one spotlighting the Beasties as well as three kinds of inserts as broken down above. I can't offer up more than that, really, as this was a box I landed in a deep bargain lot -- gaming just isn't my thing -- but all cards can be seen here. The variety here is rough -- all cards kind of blended together with only the back numbering and change of looks (more of a "bio" for character backs (at right) vs. text for other sets making things obvious sets-wise and with the only "different" feeling card being the foil parallels that carry a color that's tweaked to suit the character (blue here for water). There are much-rarer serial-numbered First Sighting Rainbow Foil cards (/99) and Creator card (/999) to be found here that will pay for a box or more but this appears to be more of the typical box breakdown. Within the Beasties set are Bronze, Silver and Gold characters with those essentially being tiered within the set with color noted on an icon found on the front (bottom left) and also on the back of each card-- with Gold one per box, Silvers three per box and the rest Bronze. Stock and printing-wise, these are very, very clean with the materials the same as Topps Now cards with high gloss and strong, sturdy cardboard and really the only issue was the vertical centering on the parallel. If you're into this universe of gaming, this set probably hits the spot in a few ways. Here's more you can explore for MetaZoo.
