What's Buzz-worthy: Statistically, you should find Wander Franco in these packs one in every six times you open them. I started off the season strong with mine ... going 2-for-4 here and this will be the first Buzz Break of those that you'll see here. This hanger over-delivered a little with the Chrome card being one in five. That helps as the Stars cards are retail-only finds with parallels and Chromes in play and they make up most of your insert presence here. That gives you good volume but not great variety. The hobby boxes are too lean on inserts off you ask me so this format does feel a little more enticing but still also a bit base-heavy. As I noted on my hobby box break, this one has a crisper and cleaner design than last year -- and it's one that emphasizes the photographs well with a number of oddball images that get a good ride here -- but speaking as an old-timer but not an old old-timer I think this one needs a lot more flash and dash via inserts. ... People are right to chase the numbered parallels of key names here when so few are found per box in a lot of formats -- they should matter when you land a good one -- but I think the brand needs to deliver more variety in every format. (More of my thoughts on that in my other break.) This year's design is stronger and I think it will look good when Chromed and with color. You can find a lot of the same stuff as in hobby in retail and in this format -- just at some long odds. All in all, this may be my favorite format for the price this year, though I do have to open a blaster here sometime soon ... maybe in the next few days.
Product Grade: B+ (better design than last year -- just needs something more)
Box Grade: A- (Franco and a Chrome help make this smaller-size box a win)
Fun Grade: B (good volume on inserts, though not a lot of variety)
