What's Buzz-worthy: One pack can be tough sledding and this one is an example of that. How many cards might get the hallowed penny sleeve treatment from me in this pack? Maybe three. An average at best box and my last hanger of this one (for now) from my initial four. Two of them have been average and this is right there with really only the Soto insert being a highlight -- and it's not a big one. It happens. As I noted before, these packs seem pretty consistent in terms of the inserts they deliver and key names in the parallel spots should do well given how spread out those are in all releases this year. ... Statistically, you should find Wander Franco in these packs one in every six times you open them. ... The Stars cards are retail-only finds with parallels and Chromes in play and they make up most of your insert presence here. That gives you good volume but not great variety. The hobby boxes are too lean on inserts if you ask me, so this format does feel a little more enticing but still also a bit base-heavy. This one has a crisper and cleaner design than last year -- and it's one that emphasizes the photographs well with a number of oddball images that get a good ride -- but speaking as an old-timer but not an old old-timer I think this one needs a lot more flash and dash via inserts. That thought holds true for me having ripped all formats (so far) other than hobby jumbo.
Product Grade: B+ (better design than last year -- just needs something more)
Box Grade: C (only saved by the Soto ... at best)
Fun Grade: C (very standard box)
