What's Buzz-worthy: I took my time tracking down some Stadium Club this year -- perhaps just since so much stuff was arriving right now -- and was rewarded with a rare photo variation that's one in 373 packs. That's approximately 200 copies per card. Mine? It's a strong one -- with online sales as high as $125 -- but my copy had a path of fingernail indent type damage on the back -- a squiggly line -- that was there right out of the pack. Big win ... big bummer. That kept it from being an A+ box, which it totally would have been as this one included a lot of solid names from the past and present of MLB. This one also included a Chrome (one in three blasters) and a good volume of color parallels that are the norm for a box here save for the Sepia (not on the odds). The stock here and the laminate/gloss seem a bit rough and a bit hit and miss so I'm not sure what's going on there and it won't be grading friendly in some cases based on this small sampling but overall this one has a good feel to it. It's a photography showcase and one with a good collector vibe without breaking the bank. The hobby needs more releases like this. Simple as that. I think one thing that could be tweaked could be a better insert presence -- something in every pack -- atop the parallels as the parallels don't offer up a lot of variety here when opening. Otherwise, the mix in these smaller boxes is good.
