What's Buzz-worthy: This autograph was one of a handful you might not expect to find here -- he's not a Star Wars regular and he's a veteran actor with a ton of credits in a ton of places but you still might not know his name. He was a regular on Sons of Anarchy and has spots in Memento, Batman Begins, The Quick & The Dead, 2 Fast 2 Furious, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer along with more than 150 other roles in a career that started back in the early 1980s. (I think I remembered him best from Life of Crime where he takes a cigarette to the eye.) He's actually had cards before -- ink in Pop Century and memorabilia in Anarchy sets -- but not many and most of it's in low-volume. (He's also not a Jr. ... his last name in his screen name is "Junior," by the way -- the back of this card is wrong.) He appeared in an episode of The Mandalorian and that gets him here with a standard auto, this variation using the Empire design from 1980 and then five parallels of the regular card totaling just 91 copies across all of the colors. Unlike other Signature Series in the sports world, this one is all new cardboard with new ink -- albeit stickers that allow for a low volume of the biggest names and some deceased signers, too. This one includes shots at Harrison Ford, Kenny Baker, Emilia Clarke, Adam Driver, Hayden Christensen, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Laura Dern, Tim Curry, John Boyega, Jeremy Bulloch, Clint Howard, Ewan McGregor, Billy Dee Williams, Carl Weathers, Forest Whitaker, Nick Nolte, Andy Serkis, Ron Perlman, Freddie Prinze Jr., Paul Reubens, George Take, Mercedes Varnado, Alan Tudyk, Peter Mayhew, David Tennant, Daisy Ridley and even Carrie Fisher. Some of the biggest names are held for dual, triple and quad cards grouping big-name ink but they are in there. This one is loaded -- and there are nearly 150 different basic autos in the set. The only drawback here is that there's only one encased auto per box. Had I known this checklist was so meaty, I would have pre-ordered some ... maybe even a case. Will all cases be big? No, there are admittedly many names I don't even know as this one is a very comprehensive all-directions Star Wars Galaxy release but if you land a big name you could do pretty well. Fewer than 50 names appear to have these variant autos, too, so that made this box better than some may think. Parallels are also in play here, though it's unclear if all signers appear in all sets (likely not) ... but the chase here and the possibilities make this one interesting. Singles might be the prudent way to go if you don't have a lot of wants here but if you see a lot you like, popping some lids should happen.
