What's Buzz-worthy: Releases like this one have been interesting ones from a breaks perspective if you ask me -- that's how I first dabbled here long ago -- as the overall mix in a box can be lean at times. Two of the cards here show how these can be a challenge with cards higher-numbered not always carrying the value oomph one might expect in a premium-feeling brand. Both of those are the basic version so there won't be a lot of chasing happening there ... but the Henderson? That's one in 60 packs and it helps a lot that it's a Hall of Famer who hasn't always been a heavy signer. (He's findable but hasn't ever really been super-cheap.) It's an acetate layered card where the ink appears to be on the front side of the back panel -- so the ink is inside and it can't be touched ... and the light dust can't be removed that's in there, either. (You can't really see that in my pic as I laid it on white cardboard.) Atop that, the acetate is scuffed some while also having a light texture within the layered design, too. It's an interesting approach that I'd like a lot if it didn't look a little dirty. (Grading is a no here.) But all that said I'd rather find that one in a box than not. ... Just like I said last year, I may be crazy, but perhaps this one could be bolstered by having a small non-Relic base set and a RC and veteran in every box, too? Check out the checklist above and the odds below -- there's some big stuff to be found here and that's why it makes for a good rip if it's a release that fits your budget and your tastes.
Product Grade: A-
Box Grade: A+ (Henderson makes this one a winner ... without it probably closer average)
Fun Grade: B (small boxes can be hit and miss ... even with the big card this wasn't that exciting of a break)
