What's Buzz-worthy: There's a lot to like here but this second box -- yep, only my second -- had issues that I ran into the first time though not as dramatically. The problem? A lot of the cards here could have corner crimping and top edge damage just like the previous year that can be an issue. If you're a grader that's not good ... but for others it may not be as big of an issue. ... Now that that was said, this one is a little deeper than the first set with a lot of new names included and I landed a number of them here that I didn't find in my first blaster -- yet some still elude me. You get the first appearances of a number of newer AEW notables (vs. the first set) such as Thunder Rosa as well as newcomers known from elsewhere like C.M. Punk. The lineup here is pretty close to the previous year for parallels and some basics but no hit every time. (I did get one this time, not last time.) Meanwhile, they seemed to drop in almost every box from the previous year. The design are is a little more busy than last time but also has more of a bordered feel giving it more consistency that some may like. The inserts and subsets are about the same, too, but new names and new looks help here and the Canvas cards are immensely improved materials/condition-wise this year. I will do more ... but likely on the hobby front just to see if the packing/corner issues are gone. If not, I'll dabble with more blasters or singles.
