What's Buzz-worthy: My last couple trips to one big-box store out in the retail wild had slim pickings -- this one, 2023 Topps Series 1 in the clearance bin and 2023 Topps Update baseball and that's it -- and this one was the easy grab with a guaranteed hit and a lot of rookie potential ... which I saw in just one pack in my first box of this. While that one had both Victor Wembanyama RCs and his Rookie Sweater all in the same pack, this one was barren on the V-Dub front but still included a decent number of rookies and stars and that's one thing that makes this one a safe rip -- even if it's not a massive money-maker kind of brand. ... This retail-only parallel version of the annual Hoops set has been an annual thing itself in recent years and I try it grab one each year since I figure statistically there might be less of the base cards here than standard Hoops. This one follows the formula of the past for sure and this one shows why it's perhaps worth the look -- hit that link to grab some of this one or regular Hoops. I've scaled back my NBA buying substantially but blasters of the basics will still be happening here and there for this collector ... this brand's parallel is one I definitely will give a look to, especially if it's on the shelf in volume.

Product Grade: A for Winter ... A- for regular 
Box Grade: A- (good sweater name and a parallel LeBron insert make this one a top-level box, though not as good as my previous ones)
Fun Grade: B+
