What’s Buzz-worthy: This one had its challenges on the condition front but, like the NFL tin, I'm not sure all of it comes from the packaging here -- maybe none of it at all. Some card backs had ink issues with either hot foil taking the ink off, leaving light foil on cards touching or some other kind of rub from the foil patterning and then some corners were definitely funky. But, none of the rookies or parallels had that issue and the Luka was, for the most part, cleaner than others save for maybe some smaller back corner funk. What makes these still one to look into and makes it stronger than the NFL tins from pack to pack? Everything here is a parallel exclusive to this tin -- that's not the case for yesterday's Donruss rip -- and the set is much smaller at 100 veterans and 50 rookies ... so names will show up more often statistically if you're looking for any one name. (The NFL tins can have rookie autos, though, ands no hits here.) The overall inclusions is smaller -- just one non-Winter parallel per pack (three per tin) and all types of cards in this were in this tin this time -- so if you land a key name in those spots you're likely way ahead here ... and if it's clean enough to land an elite grade any big name here could command a premium that might surprise later. I don't do as much NBA as I used to, but this one might get a second look out of me if I spot it again in the wild. It wasn't perfect but there's potential here with Victor Wembanyama rookies in the mix at a modest price.

Box Grade: B (Luka made this a better pack and it's got some other decent names but there were somewhat dramatic back surface issues -- fronts look fine, though -- that cost it an A)
Fun Grade: B- (smaller set than NFL tins -- but everything here is a parallel)
