What's Buzz-worthy: This one is tiny, this one is dry -- perhaps a reason the next set to come here doesn't use a flagship-style design and instead has a look of its own -- but it actually packed a little punch this time with a past NBA Slam Dunk Contest champ, an NBA superstar's brother, a former LeBron ear-blower, some Chrome, three serial-numbered parallels and, most importantly, an autograph with an SRP that was originally under $40. Who knew that was possible? (It should be more often.) I landed this box among a group of discounted stuff -- so that SRP is higher than you'll likely find it now -- and it wasn't bad, though I don't do much basketball at all -- any level -- vs. a few years ago. (Just can't collect it all.) In this case, this release is small enough one could actually work on a master set -- pretty much everything to some degree (perhaps minus rarest parallels) -- without it seeming impossible. I likely won't rip more, basically out of need, but if a case presented itself to me on the super-cheap side of things I'd probably open it out of curiosity just to see how it breaks down vs. the overall lineup. The set is small and the boxes are, too, but those things also coincide with a smaller price -- and that's not a bad thing these days. The card backs are odd -- there are no stats -- but everything else here is pretty standard stuff ... and that's not a bad thing. I also like the quirkiness of a lot of the team logos and uniforms on these -- all teams you don't see everyday when going through cards.

Product Grade: B (mostly because it arrived with ink, Chrome and three numbered cards for a modest SRP)
Box Grade: B+ (Gold one in 20 packs, Green Chrome one in 13)
Fun Grade: B (tiny boxes so will be hit and miss)
