What's Buzz-worthy: I picked up this box -- not the cheapest grab for a small stack of cards -- from a seller in Japan with my sights set on some names I know from WWE and AEW ... and I landed them. That's not a given but with this essentially being two small sets in one, two insert sets and then parallels of everything, well, it shouldn't be too tough to find any one particular name. In my case, Mina Shirakawa, Will Ospreay and Giulia were my targets landed here and others who are now part of American companies are also in here. Ultimately, I had this penciled in for a #Buzzmania8 breaks spot tomorrow, but it was too simple, I guess, as I was expecting more variety. That's OK, though, as it helps make this one collectable any day of the year. The base sets are 12 cards apiece, the Partners cards the same. So that's 24 basic cards -- all have a sparkling foil effect, by the way -- and then a gold for each of them. The Partner cards spruce up the look with a facsimile auto on their gold cards. Beyond those 48 cards per promotion, there's a single short-printed Partner Gold Foil Signature card for each company -- Kazuchika Okada for NJPW and Giulia for Stardom. That's all of it at 98 total cards. The card numbers are part of a code in the bottom left of the framing, while all card backs here are a Rebirth For You logo that carries over to Bushiroad's other gaming (not just wrestling) lines. I opened a previous box -- see it here -- from Stardom in a previous year and landed one of the better cards so I won there. The simple chases are nice in both of these but with both companies in there, it probably means more names I don't need this time around. Will I open more? Maybe, maybe not ... it would depend on cost. I may just pick off the golds for the names I like the most.
