What’s Buzz-worthy: A current-day big name in releases like this is most often a win, especially if it's somebody with a boatload of big roles and this is probably just that ... but with one caveat. Pratt does have a lot of card appearances already so this might not be as unique as solemn other names in this. Not a bad thing -- that's just something that might cap the appeal here, though it was from his first appearance on a Pop Century auto per that logo. You can find 2024 proofs of him under $10 on eBay and that reinforces my point, though asking prices for this year and others can also all still be around $20. Is it a win compared to others found in these packs? Sure ... but part of the appeal to me with these is the wide array of possibilities with everything being a 1/1. ... As noted before, the prices on these should be a little more friendly without slabs and ink like some past years for these proofs but the lineup in Pop Century was as stacked as it gets -- so there should still be bigger-interest cards here. At the same time, there are many varieties per card with all the colors and textures. ... Overall, I like this approach as it's something that could trend affordable while remaining unique and something that could pique the interests of a lot of collectors out there with all of the various genres found here.
