What's Buzz-worthy: This one is an enigma in a few ways -- we don't have a checklist yet, for starters, and its hobby version arrives toward the end of the month but blasters arrived unannounced packing plenty of heat along with that surprise. What else makes it an enigma? It's one of few low-end releases price-wise -- perhaps one more reason this one is popular -- and it's jam-packed with variety and star power. It's easily the best brand of the Panini years and would be the bonafide No. 1 in my book save for some collation and production quality issues of the previous year. The good news? This one didn't have any of that ... it's an A at least based on what I have seen so far. (About the lone issue here of any kind would be some skinny stock for some brand's design touches -- a thicker stock might help those.) A checklist might reveal how good this one really is but it's an A based on a trickling out of things ... this one might be an A+ ... we'll see. The parallels arrive somewhat plentifully, though it's mostly via foil color changes but the Optichrome stock sets do have more than that. This catch-all brand includes a boatload of sets and variety with some new looks ... stuff like Action Packed and Golden Age that haven't been done before for Chronicles. The photo editing is tight -- there are some strong, strong visuals here -- and, well, it's a winner. I did three blasters for my first taste and this was the best of them with ink and a numbered card, too, both things that were peculiarly elusive for me last year in this brand. The other two boxes weren't monsters but they were still strong and that's got resulted in more boxes being on their way to me. This is one where, once I can chew on a checklist, I'll probably consider either some hobby or a blaster case buy. I'll offer more thoughts here in my rips to come. This one is a winner that won't break the bank (or force one to gamble on breaks to maybe land something) -- this one can deliver in all kinds of ways. This is perhaps the best collector's release of 'em all for Panini WWE in the last two years.

Box Grade: A+ (ink and numbered parallels barely flowed for me last year)
Fun Grade: A (dramatically improved vs. last year with none of the condition issues)
