What's Buzz-worthy: With the checklist for the hobby boxes (coming soon) here at the link up top, I figured it was time to trot out another one of my blasters for this one ... a brand that is perhaps the best collector's release of 'em all for Panini WWE in the last two years. Is it going to be a big-time money-maker for the rip-and-flip crowd? No, but there's good potential with the hobby boxes to come thanks to hobby-only rarities and ink every time. Blasters are the home to ink here and there and plenty of parallels, too, with some numbered. (And some parallels not noted on box panels ... like gold. I have a feeling there will be some bummed Action Packed Gold buyers from eBay when hobby drops ... a gut feeling but we'll see.) ... This is one of few low-end releases price-wise -- perhaps one more reason this one is popular -- and it's jam-packed with variety and star power. It's easily the best brand of the Panini years and would be the bonafide No. 1 in my book save for some collation and production quality issues of the previous year. The good news? This one didn't have any of that ... it's an A at least based on what I have seen so far. (About the lone issue here of any kind would be some skinny stock for some brand's design touches -- a thicker stock might help those.) This catch-all brand includes a boatload of sets and variety with some new looks ... stuff like Action Packed and Golden Age that haven't been done before for Chronicles. The photo editing is tight -- there are some strong, strong visuals here -- and, well, it's a winner. This one is a winner that won't break the bank (or force one to gamble on breaks to maybe land something) -- this one can deliver in all kinds of ways. It's solid.
