What's Buzz-worthy: This one mostly chronicles past NFL players -- Hall of Famers and past favorites -- on a boatload of card types, while a handful of last year's rookies of note -- some maybe not as notable so far this season -- are along for a late-arriving, unlicensed ride that has some dazzling at all the Chrome and flash. Me? I was surprised by the overall Chrome volume here for sure and it will likely be one where I pick off selected singles once ripped pack volume is high and newcomers grab theirs. (I'll grab mine later when they're looking elsewhere.) This has some good touches on things for sure -- and some misses like the white borders on the 1963 re-do called Heritage this time around. Statistically, it looks like many subsets here are made to land one per blaster -- a good move that should keep some ripping to collect -- while others are tougher finds but just not wowzers to me like the Steve Hutchinson Refractor. There are fine players here on the field for sure (Hutchinson a Hall of Famer) and without a ton of cardboard their presence might spark some added demand. (Though I'll admit I didn't check any ... wait for it ... comps.) There are others in here who are old-timers who have a lot of cards that, well, I really didn't want some of them back when they were active. (It happens, though, with a lot of sets.) ... This particular box included a couple of the key rookies and it delivered pretty well in the parallels and other inserts but for now I'll likely be a one and done as I'm not a regular, heavy NFL buyer any more. The variety here, like Panini's Chronicles, will get me to look later or when I need an affordable rip but the better stuff -- like serial-numbered cards and hits -- are going to be more regularly found in the bigger formats at the link up top. (Some stuff can be found here, too, of course but examine the odds file at the link -- odds are important.) This one packs a lot of Chrome and has a big set size across all the various subsets that feel like multiple insets sets all in one so some stuff may end up being rarer in some instances than people might think but I'll let all that settle itself out and just grab what I like more than grab stuff I think might be big. I think if you have specific players you collect on the checklist this can be a fun one to dig into.

Box Grade: B+ (some finds are rarer statistically among parallels but not that impressive overall)
