What's Buzz-worthy: Here's the second one of these I promised ... J-Rod, Betts and Alonso lead the way, while the two inserts were really underwhelming, especially with a slight diamond cut on the Stamps. About the same as last time but not as good. ... Compared to other stuff on the retail shelf these days from all companies, I like Heritage and I opted for a pair of these at about $28 total with tax instead of one blaster so I could present a pair of Buzz Breaks instead of one. In short, I should have gone with the blaster. My other one of these had eight more rookies than this box does ... and this one arguably doesn't have a better-caliber one, either. (Suwinski's RC logo cards were last year ... that card is an error.) ... I still feel there needs to be more in Heritage boxes through the rest of the 1970s years if you ask me (save for maybe next year) to get things a little more interesting. ... Hit hobby boxes for a guaranteed hit in every box -- and there are a few autos in every case -- and that's how I'll eventually dabble more this year. Or, given the autograph hauls seen online in some instances, maybe I'll try a mega box.
Product Grade: B+
Box Grade: C+ (not many highlights beyond J-Rod, Betts and Alonso base ... and Stamps card is diamond cut)
Fun Grade: C (underwhelming, especially with a higher price than some past years)
