What's Buzz-worthy: My revisiting of recent-year releases that won't break the bank revisited the notion that "hangers are bangers" and, well, in this case it was a little stronger than my previous ones. (By far.)  The Refractor here was one in 47 packs and is a younger slugger ... not an elite find but better than a common one, too. Coming from a hanger box from the discount bin, this is a win. Once again, my base included J-Rod -- a decent card to find here among many in the base set who might not have as much allure (see gallery) while my RCs were a bit deep in volume but not that strong. Had that part included more star power, this would have been a very solid pack from the discount bin. ... As I noted last time, I still feel there needs to be more in Heritage boxes through the rest of the 1970s years if you ask me (save for maybe this year, which will be colorful) to make things a little more interesting. ... Hit hobby boxes for a guaranteed hit in every box -- and there are a few autos in every case -- and that's how I'll eventually dabble more with this release. It's the best approach while hobby boxes last.

Box Grade: A- (one rarer card with a decent name attached makes this pack a win vs. most in this format)
Fun Grade: B- (still underwhelming packs, really, especially with a higher prices than some past years ... needs more on insert side)
