What's Buzz-worthy: Buzz ordered this one in the midst of spring training and it arrived fresh off the truck just today -- but since there's a parallel chase in every set here I figured I'd Buzz Break it. Only 1,023 sets were made for this version and they were $34.99, though I used $20 in rewards points since it's an eligible Topps Now item -- so it cost me just $16.01 shipped. The parallel makes the original price a little risky depending on the team, though not all players had parallels so their floor is higher than it might be with a full array of players. This checklist is strong save for maybe just one or two names overall and parallels were only made for Harris, Acuña, Riley, Grissom and Strider ... so really that's a win at original price no matter who you get (at least for this team). Parallels here were Black (/99), Blue (/49), Purple (/25), Red (/10), Orange (/5) and 1/1 Gold ... so I did better than perhaps the norm here, though I'd probably have preferred some of the other names. (Riley is solid on the field but others are flashier on cardboard.) If any Braves here throw a no-hitter/perfect game, hits for the cycle, has 15 Ks in a game, has a shutout (nine innings) or hits three homers in a game this season, I'll get bonus cards. Spencer alone almost had two of those feats in a single game already this season so I think there's some potential here for more. These sets were not sold sealed so be aware there if you're hunting and didn't order one straight from Topps.
