What's Buzz-worthy: I literally picked this up weeks, if not months, ago at this point and it was so underwhelming that I barely popped this up here today on a slow Tuesday. My first impression wasn't a great one with the first exclusive I found here being a card I'd want -- the Harris card -- but it was not any discernibly different than an in-pack card other than the little back code on the back and it was snot-glued to the plastic tray like the packs were stuck together. The bonus jumbo was a rookie but nobody I'd need and the ink flow on that card for some reason looks funky. (It wasn't just my copy, though.) Arguably the highlight of the box was probably the Carroll pin, which is perhaps the best of the 10 in this one, though I'll admit I didn't open this for a pin. (Of all stuff here, the 25 jumbo cards are perhaps my fav ... if it's a good name.) My Silver pack? Pretty uneventful save for maybe one name (a Yankee) while I did beat the odds with some numbered parallels but also nobody there who's memorable to me. The base veterans here were not good at all -- the only "names" on checklists, while my mess of rookies was also pretty rough -- but some of that's just how the base set's inclusions break down. So ... the other inserts? Not much A-list talent in there and heavy on Dodgers ... just underwhelming. I do think these are worth the look if they are stragglers on the retail front as the volume of inclusions is there and good names can pop for sure and good stuff if possible at long odds to a degree ... but this one was a rough first impression for me, though.
Product Grade: B
Box Grade: B- (Helped by some numbered parallels showing up ... "saved" by Carroll pin?)
Fun Grade: C (More of the variety items would be better than more packs.)
