What's Buzz-worthy: Disney 100 cards have been all the rage in the past year on chromium stock from a couple companies via international releases. However, this Disney 100 set is one you can find simply by checking out the game aisle in your big-box retail store and it's one that, unlike other varieties in this long-running brand, there are chase cards to be found this time ... and that got me to bite. UNO decks can be found with all kinds of branding and they have been for years -- there are tons of them but I'm no expert here, just a dabbler. This one I liked with the foil chase card in play one per deck -- in theory the odds are one in 16 decks for any one card if they are all made at same volumes -- and that got me to bite. Landing Black Panther on the chase was a win for me -- it might be the one I'd want most having interviewed Chadwick Boseman in the past -- while some of the Marvel, Star Wars and some of the Disney names could rival or be stronger demand. Maybe. (I didn't check eBay to see how a secondary market might look ... but I suspect people might just grab the foil card they want than buy extra decks at $6ish. Like other gaming products -- in-pack or even just decks -- I think there's also grading appeal here, too, and there are a variety of colors per card. (I only showed the array of the rainbow on Black Panther up top.) The character mix here is a little odd but it makes me wonder if there might be more versions of this to come with other characters in play? Maybe ... though we're really at Disney 101 here in a few days. All in all, if more UNO decks are going to include chase cards, then the might be worth the look more often.
