What's Buzz-worthy: I didn't do a mega box of this one last year but my blaster did yield similar results with ink -- something that's not guaranteed on the box panel -- and that made this one feel like more of a win in what might have otherwise been a meaty but pretty dry rip heaviest on base cards and parallels. (The auto isn't big ... but I'd rather have one than not.) The base set frame design here is heavy for sure, but the printing quality here might be the best of the entire Panini America run for Donruss with everything very crisp and clean save for some vert minor top edge spots here and there -- this one should be very grading friendly if you have a player in there you like and want to slab. I landed Bronny James among my RCs, which seemed a little dry but at least there was volume. My parallels had some good names for perhaps NBA diehards here but as more of a casual dabbler/semi-retired NBA fan not many of them really jumped out at me. Same with the inserts ... but the volume overall was good. I think this format -- and its modest price -- is a win ... I just think it could use a tad more variety to make it a slam dunk. I suspect the hobby box mix is a little more dynamic so if you're a fan here look into that one or one of the alternative formats. If not, this one in some volume might reward you at a low price. There are a number of parallel types, other hits and rarer chases in this one ... just not in my box.
