What's Buzz-worthy: With a big day of wrestling events on tap tomorrow, I opted to revisit this previously released box for the first time. It's a brand I liked a lot the first time around (2022) and it took a year off before this one arrived with a smaller box with less of everything but with some new RCs (May) and notable veterans on some of their first AEW cards (Moné) and both types were found in this tiny box (and not just those two I mentioned). The blaster change seemed dramatic to me -- the previous box had one more pack and one more card in every pack (that's 30 cards, not 20) -- and that meant a lot less on the insert/short-print front this time vs. this format was loaded last time. The base design here is one reason I never ripped this one before -- that nameplate is just too heavy and the backgrounds too barren -- and some of the parallels are gaudy ... but some of them work. This box was light on parallels but did beat some odds with Glitter Bomb SP and Horizontal cards. That parallel? It's funky. I suspect I might like this one in a hobby box -- and I might if I find it with the price feeling right. This one still has potential in my mind in this format with the spread of inserts ... it's just not as meaty as last time and last time's boxes can be found far cheaper. This one also has hit e-Pack pretty hard, so singles can be found on the cheaper side if you just want to hunt specific names.
