What’s Buzz-worthy: This one burns off my final four packs of these -- and I didn't mind grouping them all together since the variety is seen pretty well here along with some colorful looks as well as the arguably top kind of find in the Super Prismatic. First, a rundown of who's who here ... Riddles is the first woman to win the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race (1985) and is now an author and motivational speaker. Sheldon was the No. 4 pick in last year's WNBA Draft out of Ohio State where she averaged 15.6 points per game in her career and is now with the Connecticut Sun after a rookie season in Dallas. Hogle is a former college golfer turned influencer in the sport pushing a million followers on Instagram and 150,000 YouTube subscribers. Kenin is a veteran pro tennis player who won the Australian Open in 2020 and a French Open runner-up that same year. That's a pretty good mix of past and present and what can be found here -- traditional sports for cards, sports not often on cards and even some sports-adjacent subjects. I may or may not pick up more of these sub-$6 1/1 packs (depends if they present themselves while I'm out looking for rips) but would definitely not be against opening more. ... The backs are blank and ink doesn't happen here, of course, but a lot of big names are possible and that's part of the appeal. ... There are many varieties per card with all the colors and textures and in this case the proofs are not in stickered-shut top-loaders this time -- that might tweak the feel here slightly -- but, overall, I like this approach as it's something that could trend affordable while remaining unique and something that could pique the interests of a lot of collectors.
