What's Buzz-worthy: Two things about this catch-all release for Marvel TV shows on Disney+ all in one spot stood out at me -- the focus on the actors and the use of memorable designs from the 1990s and beyond that give this one a lot of variety in the look. The one thing I didn't expect? Roughed up edges and corners en masse -- likely due to packaging but I don't know. It's happened in AEW boxes and been a bummer -- it's meant I bought less -- but the issues were heavier here and on nearly every card in one form or fashion save for inserts ... which means it might not be packaging. (Maybe it's better in hobby? Not sure.) Why do I like this approach? They are actors' cards, not scene highlights cards, meaning it's their card, not some shared cameo, and if you're being a purist that makes them more traditional fodder for "Rookie Card" definitions that are played to here with the short-printed Debut cards that are the last 30 cards in the overall set. The backs carry a sports-like feel noting the roles each performer has had in the past like they are seasons, too. Many names here have had plenty of cards if they're a regular -- especially with so many shows having their own releases -- but some big names in lesser spots on shows also have cards here where they might not have a lot elsewhere ... even with many years on screens. That, along with grading, makes some of the simple stuff here appealing ... but it can't come out of packs with wavy gravy edges or banged corners. It also helps you collect a name or character more easily vs. having to spot names and faces in scene photos. Thankfully, the inserts are for the most part cleaner than base but all that made opening this a bummer ... and I wanted to open it. Will I do more? Maybe one more blaster -- if it presents itself in-person -- just to see if it's consistent plus there's a boatload of variety in these boxes ... even in this small format. I already have one card from a release like this on the way slabbed -- I may hunt cheap singles more to see if I can find others that can make for something different in the ol' slab collection.
