What's Buzz-worthy: Does one card make a box? In a way, it does here -- at least in terms of potential. That Diamante Roki Sasaki is a solid find with two of those in most boxes and 350 cards in the set you can do the bare bones math to see how tough it is to pull specifically him in one of these packs. An early eBay sale? A cool $40 ... not so much lately. That said, I've liked the funky look of that new parallel and have pondered whether to grade a few good names I've found out of Series 1 but hadn't ... barring any surprises once I give it a closer look, this might end up slabbed as a lightly iconic pull of 2025 for me. (He's not really delivered just yet ... but I've also not ripped that much overall vs. the past.) These packs might be the best way to go for the price -- a blaster has more cards but might be a dryer break while my trio of these packs showed there is potential ... this isn't my best of my first three. ... As I've noted before, the foilboard effect is back on every single card but instead of going dark on the borders it's a mash-up of 1982, 1984 and 2019 with a light modern look this time around. Does it work? Yes. ... The new Diamante parallels bring some funk -- they're different and I don't mind them -- but the lineup of what's in these packs is ultimately the same as last year with the Stars Of MLB cards once again carrying more retail weight -- so it definitely still needs more variety. ... If you like what you see, rip into jumbo for your best results with a guaranteed autograph and Relic and maybe more. This pack -- thanks to one card -- was a decent start.
