What's Buzz-worthy: I picked up a new trio of these and this one ranks as one of my better -- but not my best -- boxes of the year with the Gold Diamante card being one in 33 packs and then a regular Gold at one in 14. There were more inserts here vs. some past boxes, which is a plus but most here were not big names and my base/rookies were pretty rough. With the Diamante cards being perhaps my favorite of the year in this release, landing a Gold isn't a bad find and it's a big team with (I think) a notable young player (Luisangel Acuña) right there in the middle. Not a bad pack ... but still could have been stronger so statistically an A+ box but the lean mix kept it from there in my book. ... As noted before, the foilboard effect is back on every single card but instead of going dark on the borders it's a mash-up of 1982, 1984 and 2019 with a light modern look this time around. Does it work? Yes. ... The Stars Of MLB cards once again carrying more retail weight -- so it definitely still needs more variety with a normal pack. ... If you like what you see, rip into jumbo for your best results with a guaranteed autograph and Relic and maybe more.
