What's Buzz-worthy: My first one of these had a key issue but still felt a little pedestrian but this one was stronger with a popular artist variant cover right on top, a blank sketch cover on the back of the "pack" and then a few more interesting finds inside that included a second printing of an issue with some apparently strong demand. (Take all of my take with a grain of salt here ... I'm just a dabbler in the comics realm, not an expert. But, I like artwork.) ... As I noted last time. a couple of simple things got me to bite here -- the volume/price and that some premium squarebound books seemed to be popping up from these and others I found at an Ollie's store ... a place that seems to routinely have repacks and a lot of past graphic novels from all publishers as part of their outlet burn-offs. (It's a regional chain so you may not have heard of it ... but they always have a lot of books and comics and occasionally have good runs of toys, too, if you're a retail hunter/flipper.) ... These seem like they are clean, unread copies likely straight from the publishers' leftovers and I think they are worth the look considering you're paying pocket change per issue here. After this one, I will go get more ... just for fun and since they are cheaper than pretty much everything in the card aisle in the retail wild right now. ... The simple packaging was something that I admittedly hadn't ever really seen before ... a repack where it's sealed down the back ... just like a big pack of cards. I know that sounds dumb ... but it added to the appeal. Blind-wrap these bad boys and you might sell more, mystery-maker. (Or at least have a window where the top book shows.) These kinds of packs can sometimes age well -- a character might emerge as important later -- or can pack variants that age well. There may not be big-money finds here on the variants front but I like the price and potential if I were to grade some stuff here -- they certainly are clean enough to do that.
