What's Buzz-worthy: I recently picked up a few more of these -- just for fun -- and this one was decent in that it included a trio of variants but some of them are ones I have actually already seen before ... in only two previous breaks. All in all, the value is pretty solid as the cost was literal pocket change for each book and these are clearly publisher leftovers that had minimal handling before they were put into these packs. ... The Peach Momoko variant is a nice find -- she's popular with her distinct style -- but it's not all that pricey like much of the stuff from around these times. Atop that, finding the standard book there was good, too, considering they are premium-print books with glossed cardboard covers and are squarebound. ... As I noted last time, a couple of simple things got me to bite here -- the volume/price and that some premium books seemed to be popping up from these and others that I found at an Ollie's store ... a place that seems to routinely have repacks and a lot of past graphic novels from all publishers as part of their outlet burn-offs. (It's a regional chain so you may not have heard of it ... and they occasionally have good runs of toys, too, if you're a hunter/flipper.) ... The simple packaging was something that I admittedly hadn't ever really seen before ... a repack where it's sealed down the back ... just like a big pack of cards. I know it sounds dumb but it added to the appeal. Blind-wrap these bad boys and you might sell more, mystery-maker. (Or at least have a window where the top book shows.) Why dabble? These kinds of packs can sometimes age well -- a character might emerge as important later -- and the cost is minimal unlike grabbing at a comics shop at cover prices. There may not be big-money finds here on the variants front, but I like the price and potential if I were to grade some stuff here -- they certainly are clean enough to do that.
Product Grade: A- (it is what it is ... a new-issue grab bag)
Pack Grade: A- (a few variants)
Fun Grade: A-
