From time to time, Buzz will break a box of something and post the results here. Like this and want to see more? Or maybe there's a box you'd want to see busted? Send Buzz an email at BlowoutBuzz@blowoutcards.com.
The box: Fanatics Authentic Oakland A's game-used baseball mystery box
The cost: $29.95 (via JCPenney.com)

Game-used baseball (MLB Authenticated): Oakland A's vs. Texas Rangers on July 27, 2014
The Matchup: Oakland SP Scott Kazmir vs. Texas 1B J.P. Arencibia
The result: Ball fouled off by Arencibia in bottom of third inning
What's Buzz-worthy: With these mystery baseball boxes so cheap -- less than the cost of two blasters with something definitely unique guaranteed -- I figured I'd bite once again (and it won't be the last one you see here). This one is a ball from Scott Kazmir's 81st career victory -- a game where he went five innings with just two strikeouts and two walks. Wins-wise, this ended up being the best season of Kazmir's career as he finished at 15-9. Arencibia went 0-for-3 with a pair of strikeouts in this game, and this ball led to the first of those strikeouts -- his 27th dismissal of the season and the 427th of his MLB career. (The ball also is a contributor to Kazmir's 1,115th career strikeout.) The A's dominated on this Sunday, winning 9-3 thanks to multi-hit days from several A's and RBI-doubles from Yoenis Cespedes, Stephen Vogt, Eric Sogard and John Jaso. Later in this game Adrian Beltre hit his 391st home run of his career, though this ball was long retired by that time. The only drawback on this one? It's older. While that's a plus in some ways, the MLB Authentication report (in gallery below) doesn't offer any deeper tracking details for the ball's use like newer baseballs do. The ESPN play-by-play for the game shows this was just a three-pitch at-bat (two fouls) with runners on both second and third at the time.
