The Rundown (all books in gallery below)
-- 100 assorted comics (all eras & publishers VF/NM on most)
-- At least two signed comics from Collector's Paradise signings
-- At least three exclusive cover variants made for Collector's Paradise
-- At least one "special treatment" comic book (foil covers, plastic covers, holograms, etc.)

The Results: I received what was to be delivered for the bonuses and almost a dozen variants, too. A total of 106 books -- about 56 cents per book after shipping. (Click images in the gallery below for a closer look.)

What's Buzz-worthy: It's been a couple years since I dipped back into one of these, but I figured now's the time to dig in once again. Why? Just for fun and some variety on The Buzz. (I just can't rip Bowman all day.) What is this? I found this mystery box via a California comics chain called Collector's Paradise with these guaranteeing all there is above for $49.99 plus shipping, which might vary depending on where you are. (An original price was double that ... I wouldn't bite at that one.) Buzz loves a good mystery box on the cheap, so I figured why not with the bonuses seeming interesting as, well, I don't have a big comics shop nearby to do bargain bin digging. (Plus, I'm way too selective if I did ... it would be a lot of the same few titles or areas.) ... This one included some stuff back to the 1960s -- some rough, some not so rough -- and then a good mix of a lot of realms within the big box. (A couple of newer books were also clearly junkers but most here are fine. ... The gurantees were covered with two books signed by a few creators -- Guardians Of The Galaxy No. 1 signed by writers Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing and Flashpoint Beyond No. 0 signed by writers Geoff Johns, Tim Sheridan and Jeremy Adams. (I'm a card guy so I don't know the true demand for writer ink here ... but here's the only copy I saw on eBay.) If demand is half that, it's a win. Atop that, this one included a number of variants and a pair of covers with enhanced covers. ... All in all, for the price and the bonuses I still liked this one and there's a shot I may do another. Why? Affordable volume and a mystery scenario ... that's fun to me and it never hurts to add a little variety into a collection. ... The books arrive in a box without bags or boards -- except for the bonus books or signed books so that helps them stand out -- so there can be minor damage here and there. I'm very casual as a collector of comics -- essentially, I'll sort through these and then do some bagging and then put the better ones together and then box 'em all away. At the price, these are pretty good for a newb like me (card guy dabbling) or for a re-seller on the cheap or in similar smaller lots. I think I found some nice books here again. Besides, I've found some really good books in past repacks -- this Making The Grade included two big books I found in scenarios just like this.

Lot Grade: A- (I think this delivered well for my casual taste here)
Fun Grade: B+ (fun for this price ... not sure I'd pay typical price)
