What's Buzz-worthy: With this weekend being the anniversary of the arrival of Pokémon, here's one more break of the popular Happy Meal packs that people have been gobbling up. I didn't land a Pikachu this time but at least there weren't duplicates like in my previous break. (Don't worry, a relative of mine who drops by there on the regular got me two more packs you'll see here at some point ... they'll deliver. I promise.) So, what is this? From the corporate reveal: "McDonald's Happy Meals will include a 25th Anniversary Special Edition McDonald's booster pack of Pokémon Trading Card Game cards. Each of these packs includes four exclusive cards. You'll have the opportunity to collect cards featuring all 24 first partner Pokémon from the many regions in the Pokémon world, plus Pikachu. There are standard and foil versions of each card, and all the cards sport the Pokémon 25th logo. In total, there are 50 cards in this set, so have fun collecting and trading with your friends." ... Each pack of this one appears to include a Holo card and I'd bet the foil Pikachu will be a big deal over the long term with this set, which should be pretty easy to build or buy. Meanwhile, you can see stories about stores having to limit their stock or having been bought out. Then others have simply gotten their hands on unopened cases ... and are StockXing them.
