Buzz Buys ... A LOT: Another run of non-sports promo cards

Buzz buys a lot of stuff these days and for a few reasons, really. Sometimes it's just bargain-hunting, sometimes it's just something that strikes me. And other times it's a lot -- a group of things -- and that has happened enough lately I figured I'd try something different as a regularly appearing item. Sometimes my lots will be wins, sometimes they won't be ... but I'll let you decide.

What's The Deal? Just like my previous lot like this, this one was billed as a simple lot of non-sports promo cards with a decent price for the vast mix, which appeared to be an assortment of sample cards from magazines of the past and traditional promo cards sent to dealers and then perhaps some insert cards here and there thrown in.

What's The Steal? What caught my eye this time? The Chrome Star Wars promos of Darth Vader and Yoda and then the pair of Comic Images WWE promos with D-Generation X and Steve Austin were my main reasons for grabbing these, though really the price was right for oddball stuff. If something else popped up worth a look, then that was just a bonus.

Anything Missing? Nope as it's not a set/subset scenario ... plenty going on here for what it is. The gallery below is actually a small assortment of the highlights in this one with the last photo teasing the rest of the stack.

The Lot Details ...
Notables: WWE, Star Wars, Xena: Warrior Princess, Star Trek Voyager, James Bond, Paranormal Activity and more. (It's not as strong as my first lot like this -- poke around in the archives for that one -- but I was sold on the first two.)

Rookie Cards: Not applicable for "RC" definition here ... though technically there could be some first card appearances in here.

Bottom Line: Like my first lot, the condition for a lot of these wasn't that strong -- and some showed damage from the seams of their former polybagged homes in magazines -- but the assortment totally was nice (for the price) as mags with them still inside will often cost more. (It would be pricier to re-create a lot like this, too.) As I noted last time, I have one more of these lots to come -- my finale is loaded with a past staple ... holograms. I need to revisit this whole stash again -- once I figure out where I put it after I took my photos (I grabbed this last year) -- and take a look with an eye on slabbing some stuff. Oddball is where it can be at in that realm if you ask me and I've been dabbling with a lot of oddball non-sports slabbing lately.
