Buzz Buys ... A LOT: Going Ringside with Panini Select WWE SPs

Buzz buys a lot of stuff these days and for a few reasons, really. Sometimes it's just bargain-hunting, sometimes it's just something that strikes me. And other times it's a lot -- a group of things -- and that has happened enough lately I figured I'd try something different as a regularly appearing item. Sometimes my lots will be wins, sometimes they won't be ... but I'll let you decide.

The Price: Not much more than a blaster at some retail chains (with tax)

What's The Deal? These are cards from the Ringside tier of the Select set -- Nos. 201-300 -- from a 400-card collection with  these being rarer but not impossible finds. Roughly a couple per hobby box (and not in every blaster) from what I remember -- so not that easy to find. Atop that, part of this lot is the Red & Blue parallel that's only found in retail blasters ... so this lot was part of somebody ripping in a little bit of volume and it was sorted down to women's stars only. That works for me as that's where I collect with more of a focus and a couple names here were the reasons I grabbed the lot besides the volume/price/scarcity mix.

What's The Steal? The Ripley card is the headliner with its unique photo that has sparked demand -- it alone has sold on eBay recently for $50 and up raw -- but this one was a good mix of young names as well as established veterans. I picked off this lot literally months ago -- and I didn't check any other recent sales here to see if there's still demand but I do know that the boxes aren't getting any easier to find. At less than $3 a card with names I wanted to find, this was an easy pick-up to me. With some unique photos getting a ride here on a horizontal design, there are definitely cards I'd grade here, too, beyond Ripley.

Anything Missing? Nah ... this is a lot, not a set or near-set situation.

Bottom Line: The lot here has quite a few who are no longer in WWE or those who will never leave -- but the mix is good ... not as good as the simple price, though. The Rousey alone made this lot a win but there are other wins in this one for my collecting tastes, too.
