BuzzMania 5: Busting 2020 Topps WWE Fully Loaded (Hour 3)

The biggest weekend in pro wrestling is here with WrestleMania 38 set for Saturday and Sunday from Dallas. We'll make today a big day for wrestling collectors right here on The Buzz with #BuzzMania5, a series of WWE wax box/pack breaks.

We're sticking with the high-end releases for this hour with a brand that debuted with this one and served up its finale with the 2021 release that recently arrived with a whole lot of young star power. How will this O.G. do with the pressure of just one pack being ripped? Let's find out ...

Card That Stole The Show: This card is The Show this time ... and it's a solid name to find if you ask me. He could put on a show this weekend, too.

What's Buzz-worthy: I went into this one knowing that it might be hit or miss -- but at least with an autographed card every time. I may not have found myself an established A-level veteran but I did find one of the most-unique stars the WWE has -- a guy who literally bounces around the ring like no other ... and in his case it works well. In this case, it's also a parallel of one of the slightly rarer Relic types that hasn't been done much in the big scheme of things, a turnbuckle pad. It's one in 21 packs so that's not bad at all. He's one of 16 stars in that particular set while others include Austin Theory, Mandy Rose, Jeff Hardy and Drew McIntyre. Other Relic types in this one include tables, ladders, chairs, rarer microphone boxes but the biggest draw here are autographs from Vicne McMahon. I was sold enough on this one that I ripped a case in two parts -- see the first half here and the rest during a past Buzz 8 in 8 breaks marathon day. The color and the variety seem to flow well here despite the odds. Cases I watched had sometimes eight or nine parallels out of 20 boxes. These boxes are still on the somewhat affordable side of things and that means they'll get a look from me -- though your misses here might sting more than the typical boxes do if you pay too much. There are a lot of stars here who won't sell for more than box prices right now -- but there are a number of solid ones who will. This brand ended up being the top high-end release that wasn't Transcendent price-wise in the Topps WWE lineup but I think Undisputed is safer by the box at its initial price. This one has perhaps more up-side but is more risky ... but for BuzzMania it was worth the look and I didn't hate my results.
