The biggest weekend in pro wrestling is here with WrestleMania 38 set for Saturday and Sunday from Dallas. We'll make today a big day for wrestling collectors right here on The Buzz with #BuzzMania5, a series of WWE wax box/pack breaks.

This one is something different ... it's not cardboard but instead a collection of 8-by-10 photos looking back at the career of one of the biggest names in WWE history. (He's back in the spotlight this weekend if you didn't know. What?!)

Card That Stole The Show: A lot of iconic moments are captured here, but this Rock vs. Austin photo above leapt out at me.

What's Buzz-worthy: This set of blank-backed high-quality 8-by-10 photos arrives in a no-nonsense black box/tray with nothing but the stacked deck of history shrink-wrapped inside. You don't need a certificate of authenticity here. You don't need any witty card  backs or serial-numbering. You just get (What?) a whole lot of WWE history for one of its biggest names. These weren't immensely mass-produced as they carried a $99.99 original price tag via WWE Shop but the company recently did a half-price sale on items already in their clearance bins, so I landed this one at about $40, which is pretty decent for branded photos that could easily sell as stand-alones and collectively cost a lot more. Many of these images have appeared on cards but the size you get here and the razor-sharp clarity is untouchable. The beer truck photo, for example, is amazing and you get an extra beer or two's worth of droplets elsewhere, too. A couple of the images drop to black and white due to excessive blood (by today's WWE standard, which is basically none) while others do it for style. You get iconic moments, memorable matches, a couple of birds (of course) and plenty of attitude. I wanted a throwback presence in BuzzMania this year, but a lot of the oldschool packs -- which can be immensely hit and miss and, well, I've opened plenty in the past -- didn't stack up. For the price this offered that past touch with something new. Some fans have been selling selected singles here -- not big profits but enough if they went the clearance/sale route like I did. No matter what, (What?!) the images here are in nearly all instances winners.
