BuzzMania 6: Mania-caliber Main Event Case-capper (Hour 14)

The biggest weekend in pro wrestling is here with WrestleMania 39 set for this Saturday and Sunday from Los Angeles. We'll make today a big one for wrestling collectors right here on The Buzz with #BuzzMania6, a marathon of WWE wax box/pack breaks all day long.

This final break of the day was one I have held back since grabbing it during one of the Black November/holiday sales, a case -- a whopping 40-boxer -- that can deliver very well and arguably coughs up the best overall results of anything that was ripped today ... especially for the price.

My Take Before I Broke This: I picked off this case back during a big sale and I tacked on some extra credit from the Topps MVP Buyback program to make this monster case even cheaper ... it cost less than a number of 2022 WWE boxes right now and that helped slot it in here with every box having some type of hit -- good ones being on-card autos and the iffy ones being manufactured Relics (not a hit but I'm in babyface mode at this moment on the issue as I type this). There are some big autos to be found here for NXT newcomers on their first cards that can make ripping here worth it. A 12-box hobby case guarantees an auto per box while this one has the volume to do that and maybe more depending on how the streaks go ... I have seen some with less ink than I found here (though not by much).

Who Won The Battle? For the price, I did. This case delivered a number of rarer cards and was packed with parallels that fell way more often than they perhaps should have for the hits. The posted odds overall here are long on all parallels but this one did deliver pretty well as Roster parallels start at one in 601 ... and I landed two there with the Black having odds pushing one in 3,000 packs. It wasn't alone ... and that made this a strong case in my book, though I think it can be topped if the right ink is found. I definitely want to do more after doing this and it was loaded -- see the odds recap at the end here. ... This one also has some oddities with its Roster cards where a handful of names are clearly as much as quadruple-printed as most of the cards here were found 12 times apiece but those clearly with extra appearances on the sheet popped up more than 50 times apiece ... crazy!

The Top Rookies: This NXT name hasn't made it to the main roster just yet -- maybe on Monday? -- but Indi Hartwell was a rookie for this year and so I'll give the nod to this rookie insert parallel. This was a striking card and it's one in 2,405 packs ... that's one in six cases.

Card That Stole The Show: This was an immensely tough call with the Gold Five insert of Banks up top (one in 4,197 packs), the Black Roster card (one in 2,991), the Blue Indi above (one in 2,405), the Gold auto (one in 2,090), the auto Relic (one in 3,255) and even this one's Green buddy (one in 2,519) are all really rare pulls ... and remember there are only 440 packs in this case. That's some main-event insanity. But, despite all that, I'll go with the find for a star who has a big profile historically but is no longer on the Mania radar (for now). This Banks card is one in 1,270 packs, too, and since I don't collect for the money, I'll go with the Moné for this pick. All in all, this one was a super-saturated and pretty fun break ... an A+ case thanks to the rarities ... and I think it can still be topped with big autos that I didn't land.

Case Grade: A+ ... Several finds here with odds that are higher than one in 2,000 packs -- that alone is insane.
Fun Grade: A+ ... This one was better than I expected with a look at the odds -- and it can be topped.

The Bottom Line: This one was main event worthy for sure ... just see all those rare-pull odds above.
