The biggest weekend in pro wrestling is here with WrestleMania 40 set for this Saturday and Sunday from Philadelphia. We'll make today a big one for wrestling collectors right here on The Buzz with #BuzzMania7, a marathon of WWE wax box/pack breaks all day long.
This one is packed with, as Gorilla Monsoon would say, "pandemonium" ... every pack or box here guarantees at least one hit -- that's an autograph or a memorabilia card in this realm -- and a few of them pack even more. Some here are also past favorites that Buzz used to rip in volume ... back when they were more easily found.
The Brands: 2017 Topps WWE Women's Division (two boxes), 2017 Topps NXT (one hobby pack), 2020 Topps WWE Women's Division (one box), 2021 AEW Spectrum (one box), 2020 Topps NXT (one box), 2023 Leaf Heroes of Wrestling (one box)
Where to buy: Some will take some work to find ... BlowoutCards.com for all WWE/AEW cards
What's inside these? Keep reading ...

My Take Before I Broke This: I was optimistic about a few of these going into this one -- my first actual rip of a Spectrum box and then some of my go-to boxes from the past -- with each having potential for something with the hits and a lot of star power spread throughout each of the releases.
Who Won The Battle? I think the house won this one as, well, this crop of rips just wasn't that flashy across the board -- that's why all of these are here in sort of a battle royal of big boxes that could -- but didn't -- deliver this time of year. I guess there's some definite safety in numbers here vs. say one $300-plus box with a lot less in it ... but this one was rough on the returns this hour.
--
The Top Rookies: There was a boatload of potential for first-year cards in both of those NXT releases but none of them showed up. Overall, this group of everything is downright awful on what it delivered for rookies this time ... so much so I considered saying "none" this time. But, playing nice, I'll still make a pick and go with the Ford card since it's a slightly premium release vs. all the rest.
--
Card That Stole The Show: This hour? Literally nothing ... proof that today's breaks aren't a work. The Cole auto might have been a bigger deal in the past. Maybe.
Lot Grade: C ... Nothing truly big out of these boxes at all.
Fun Grade: C+ ... See above ... but at least there were hits.
--
The Bottom Line: This one's proof that sometimes older boxes and premium boxes don't always deliver as well as they age --even in wrestling. This one truly was a smackdown ... and I felt it. At least I power-shopped and found them as cheaply as I could.
