Buzz's BlowoutTV Breakdown: Big team in a 2023 Topps mixer?

Group breaks have been a game-changer for the card industry for several years now and from time to time Buzz will jump into a BlowoutTV break of some type and break down the results of what he landed by picking up a team. There are near-daily breaks right here with Matt on Blowout TV during weekday working hours and even more from Houdini and others over on the forum in the evening.

Now, it's time for this post's break breakdown -- a spot in a 2023 Topps Series 1 mixer with big potential.

Initial Reaction: I landed the one team I wouldn't want or would have any use for (for a few reasons) ... though when I remembered that they have their own World Series champions cards here I was hopeful ... though they have long odds.

Final Thoughts: The price vs. the volume here got my attention since there are two hits per jumbo (plus a manufactured Relic) and three hits between the hobby boxes here and the blaster has a manufactured Relic, too. (So five hits and two manufactured Relics plus any numbered inserts or whatever possible across all teams) I didn't have high expectations once I saw Astros though the World Series cards do have hit versions atop the rare standard stuff. This time? None of that -- and the break as a whole saw Relics go to the Yankees (twice), the Phillies and then jumbo ink to the A's ... and then I stopped paying attention to the rest. The base card volume here isn't bad, really, and the Judge and Trout appearances on shared leaders cards added some extra name power ... but nothing here at all I'd have an interest in. I have other big-picture thoughts about breaks of stuff like flagship -- at least everything shipped here -- but I'll leave that for another day. Overall, in this case, I should have just done a blaster.

Product Grade: B (I don't think flagship is really ideal for breaks -- especially with the long odds on a lot of stuff -- unless it's perhaps solely the jumbo boxes but even those won't spread evenly for all the teams) 
Break Grade: C (average/typical results this time ... regardless of the team)
